No matter what electric supply you choose, your utility is still responsible for delivering your electricity safely and reliably, and will provide you with customer service and respond to emergencies.

Your MONICA purchase supports the development of more environmentally friendly electricity generation. You are helping to create a cleaner, brighter New York for future generations. What is MONICA?

MONICA is a new kind of energy platform that brings energy consumers and clean energy producers together into a common marketplace. It allows customers to choose the type of clean energy they want at the best price possible. MONICA allows consumers to compare and decide which energy source is best for them based on savings and environmental impact.
How much does MONICA cost?

You have two options for pricing: fixed costs or variable. You get to choose the monthly plan which is best for you. We buy at cost and pass the savings along to you.
How are our prices better?

We work with small scale and medium scale local clean energy producers directly to cut the utility middle man out of the mix. As an energy consumer, we are continually striving to find cheaper clean energy and we sell it to you wholesale. Through partnerships with clean energy producers, we serve our customers at lower long-terms costs.

How to read your Bill?
​
You still receive your bill from Con Edison with electricity charges now split into supply and delivery charges.
If you have never chosen a supplier before, your MONICA electricity supply detail will appear as a new page on the back of the
Con Edison bill. Our supply charges are replacing Con Edison's supply charges (you are not being double-billed), and Con Edison's delivery charges will remain on the bill.
